Immunopathology and Allergy

The study of immune response mechanisms on tissue injury, as well as its reactivity against allergenic agents, such as parasitic, food, inhalants, drugs and poison extracts, and peptides, aiming to develop immunopathogenic and immunodiagnostic methods.

Projects linked to this research line:

  • Analysis of lectins participation in infectious and allergic processes;
  • Ecology and epidemiology of vectors and other transmitters of infectious and parasitic diseases;
  • In vitro effect of the epiphany-resilon obturator system on immortalized cell culture;
  • Histopathological study of infectious, parasitic, and chronic-degenerative processes;
  • Exposure and sensitization to mite antigens and other allergens in atopic patients;
  • Cellular interactions in the in vitro osteogenesis process;
